Probably one of the best-known brands in the world, Balenciaga officially cut ties with Kanye West on October 21. This event has led to the end of the rapper being the Creative Director of Demna. As representatives from Balenciaga have stated, the label doesn't want to partner up with Kanye in the future for any other projects from now on.

After Kanye’s video where he declared that he is allowed to be anti-Semitic and Adidas will not drop him, many brands - including the Anti-Defamation League - compelled the label Adidas to actually slash the connections with Kanye. And of course, Adidas listened to the voices and they did, releasing a statement declaring that their brand does not tolerate anti-Semitism and other hate speech. Moreover, they said that Kanye's recent statements and activities have been inappropriate, hostile, and even risky. All in all, it was made clear and public that what Ye said violates the company's values - we're talking about inclusion and diversity. In conclusion, Adidas decided to terminate the partnership with the rapper effective immediately. They also stopped the production of Yeezy imprinted items and ended all earnings to Ye and his companies. This decision had a huge influence on Kanye’s capital. Just a few hours after the aforementioned brand - Adidas - stopped all collaborations with Kanye, it was Gap's turn to announce that they would also remove all the products made in partnership with the rapper from their stores and the website. Their explanation included a statement about antisemitism, racism, and hate that is not to be tolerated by the brand as they are not part of their values. Moreover, they will be partnering with organizations and institutions that fight hate and discrimination, to demonstrate to their fans that they want to act for marginalized people.

Following the drop of Adidas and Gap, Kanye came uninvited to the Skechers office, searching for a new house for his Yeezy shoe line. Unfortunately, he was instantly escorted out of the headquarters. What's even more ironic is that Skechers is owned and managed by a Jewish family. Kanye's antisemitic comments clearly are not a match for the company's values and history - too bad he didn't know better.
