Looking for the coolest baseball cap? we’ve got you!

The baseball cap is a divisive accessory in men's fashion, with strong opinions on both sides. Because some are loving it and others are disliking it. Despite this, it has become an integral part of modern men's clothing due to the integration of smart and sportswear and as dress codes have become more relaxed and sportswear is more commonly accepted. If you don't already own one,  it's a good time to consider and it's worth thinking about purchasing a high-quality baseball cap from a reputable brand - to add to your wardrobe. Don’t know where to start? Buckle up. Here are some recommended brands for peaked headwear and why they are worth the investment.

Varsity Headwear

Varsity, founded by brothers Alexander and Sebastian Adams from Norway, aims to create the ultimate baseball cap. They believe that the perfect cap is timeless in design, made from quality materials, and has a premium fit. The caps are designed with luxury in mind, featuring signature adjustable fastenings inspired by watch straps and a defined shape that conforms to the wearer's head. With a variety of colors and fabrics sourced from sustainable mills, Varsity's caps are luxurious and sustainable. The brothers succeeded in their mission to create the perfect baseball cap.

New Era

New Era is a heritage hat company that is synonymous with baseball caps, just like Biro is with ballpoint pens. This American sportswear brand popularized this style of peaked headwear and has been the exclusive supplier of baseball caps for Major League Baseball since 1993. The brand offers both classic and fitted caps, with the latter being the flat-brimmed style popular among rappers. However, it's the classic plain styles that stand out, as they offer the best value, fit, and historical significance.

Burberry

In the 2000s, Burberry's check print experienced a significant image crisis, going from fashionable to tacky in a short period of time. However, over time, the London fashion house has rebuilt its reputation and brought back its iconic print in a stylish way. The checked Burberry baseball cap is now popular again. It's important to note, however, that it should not be worn excessively, as it could evoke memories of the negative image associated with the print in the past, as seen on Daniella Westbrook in 2002.

Depuis Toujours

Depuis Toujours is a lifestyle brand that focuses on accent pieces, such as baseball caps, that can personalize a look. The brand takes a contemporary approach and gives it a retro twist by using nostalgic textiles such as corduroy, tweed, and velveteen. This unique approach sets the brand apart from its competitors and can help bring individuality to one's wardrobe.

Wigéns

Wigéns is a heritage hatmaker established in Tranås, Sweden in 1906. The founder, Oscar Wigén, was known for his attention to detail and craftsmanship, a legacy that continues to this day. While the brand is known for classic hat styles like fedoras and flat caps, it has also applied its traditional manufacturing methods and dedication to quality to a range of baseball caps. These caps are crafted from premium materials such as wool flannel, nylon fleece, cashmere, and Donegal tweed, making them luxurious and ideal for accenting casual autumn/winter looks.

Norse Projects

Norse Projects, a Danish brand, has established itself as a go-to label for high-quality, minimalist garments with a streetwear aesthetic over the past 20 years. As a result, it has become well-known for its baseball caps. In the brand's early days, the five-panel cap was the label's signature, but today it's the monogrammed dad caps that serve as the headwear flagship. Expect subtle branding, American-made quality, and contemporary styling from Norse Projects baseball caps.

A.P.C.

A.P.C. is a Parisian brand known for crafting high-quality, minimalistic essentials, including baseball caps. The brand's caps tend to have minimal branding and are made from a mix of classic cotton twill and tactile fabrics like corduroy and suede. As with all A.P.C. gear, you can expect a perfect fit. If you could only choose one brand to stock your wardrobe with, A.P.C. would be a good choice.
