Feeling tired when you’re traveling? JFK Air France has a spa lounge

In a bid to ensure maximum relaxation during air travel, Clarins and Air France collaborated to launch a new spa at the Air France Lounge at JFK Airport in New York a couple of months ago. The spa comprises two treatment rooms, where La Première, Business, and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers can avail of three complimentary face treatments. And fortunately, for those who cannot visit the spa, Clarins will provide in-flight comfort kits to Air France Business travelers and above, featuring two moisturizers that will leave your skin glowing on arrival at your destination.

The newly launched spa at the Air France Lounge in JFK Airport offers three facial treatments that last for 20 minutes each, namely “Detox Time,” “Jet-Lag Relief,” and “Eye Must.” Here, La Première travelers have the option to select a 30-minute “relax and reset” treatment that is exclusively available through Air France. However, other service levels are only eligible for 20 minutes of treatment time. What is more, Clarins places significant emphasis on the science of touch in its spa services. Its expert therapists use a pressure point application method to drain toxins and enhance skin microcirculation for all skin types and ages, especially for its classic anti-aging treatments. It is likely that “Detox Time” or “Jet-Lag Relief” would employ a similar technique to help travelers feel their best before or after a flight. Similarly, the Hydra-Essential Cooling Gel for the face and Hand and Nail Treatment Cream provided to Air France Business travelers can also have a rejuvenating effect on the skin.

A long partnership

Clarins and Air France have enjoyed a longstanding partnership that has lasted for 17 years, catering to the needs of Air France's Business customers throughout their journey. Upon their arrival at the airport, customers can take advantage of the complimentary spa services offered by Clarins at the lounges in terminals 2E and 2F at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, as well as at New York-JFK. Moreover, each customer is provided with a comfort kit that includes a mini Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Cooling Gel and a mini Hand & Nail Treatment Cream to use during their flight. 

Additionally, customers have access to the Eau Dynamisante spray and Soothing Toning Lotion from the renowned French cosmetic brand until they reach their destination. The Air France lounge located in Terminal 1 at New York-JFK is accessible to La Première, Business, and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers. Following a complete redesign in 2018, this space is bathed in light and offers a serene and calming atmosphere. It includes a relaxation area, shower cubicles, and a new Clarins treatment area providing various services.

On the mezzanine level, the lounge features a catering area inspired by Parisian brasseries that offer the company's Lounge Dinner Service. This service caters to customers who are traveling on night flights between New York and Paris and wish to sleep on board. They can indulge in a French-style gourmet meal in the lounge, identical to the one served on board, at their table. This way, they can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep in the comfort of the Business cabin during their flight. So, if you are a La Première customer, you can enjoy a bespoke welcome at the airport and access a dedicated VIP area within the lounge.
