Experience the ultimate cowboy vacation at these 7 ranch retreats

The fifth season premiere of Yellowstone, a hit series by Paramount, is approaching on November 13th. Even if you are not invested in the Dutton's ranch and family legacy, the show has captured the nation's interest in cowboy culture and the Western aesthetic. Who wouldn't want to relax in the beautiful great room with a glass of small-batch bourbon after a day of ranch work?

If you desire the romance of the old West combined with the top-notch service and amenities of a contemporary retreat, it's time to pack your chaps. From a luxurious ranch on the Colorado River to an eco-friendly fishing lodge in Taos, New Mexico, here are eight top-tier ranch rentals across North America where you can embrace the cowboy lifestyle - in style.

Rocker B Ranch, Fort Worth, Texas

Rocker B Ranch is an idyllic destination for friends and family with its three baseball fields, swimming pool with a 50-foot waterslide, fishing lake, driving range and spa. Located just outside Fort Worth, Texas, known for its famous livestock exchange and rodeo, Rocker spans 320 acres and can accommodate up to 60 guests with its Main Cabin, Skybox, and Casitas options.

Skeena River Ranch, Terrace, British Columbia

Skeena River Ranch is perfect for serious skiers and extreme sports enthusiasts who crave exclusivity and pristine powder. Located deep within the Skeena Mountains of northern British Columbia, the luxurious 6,500-square-foot riverside ranch is also situated on a working farm. With six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a game room, a massage room, and a sauna, it's ideal for groups of ski enthusiasts. A new offering this season is the Best of the Best heli-skiing adventure, which includes a helicopter, private ski guides, Red Seal-certified chefs, a massage therapist, and snowcats as backup on inclement days.

French Creek Sportsmen’s Club, Saratoga, Wyoming

The French Creek Sportsmen’s Club has four cabins and a yurt inspired by the wild loveliness of south-central Wyoming’s high-peak desert terrain. Some territory of the Brush Creek Luxury Ranch Collection is set on the historic Sanger Ranch and you can book one of the rooms that are destined for 14 guests. This private property has an abundance of offers that can keep you busy, from fishing to hunting, plus appreciating farm-to-table food. It can even be considered a man cave but with a large great room that has a lovely fireplace, billiards, and poker. Plus, you can chill in the bar or if you fancy in the dining room. What's more, you can also see the creek-side spa tents and campfire patio, all cuddled along the banks of French Creek.

Chief Joseph Ranch, Darby, Montana

If you're a fan of Yellowstone, you will certainly identify this property as the Dutton’s Montana manse. However, in reality, the 5,000-square-foot home is Chief Joseph Ranch. Located in Darby, the 2,500-acre working ranch has been largely shut to visitors during the filming of the show, but it is said that booking will reopen starting in February 2023. And luckily, the Ben Cook Cabin and the Fisherman’s Cabin can host up to eight guests. If you'll be one of them, you will get an excursion around the ranch and explore the set of the show.

Journey’s End at Twilight Moon Ranch, Oakley, Utah

Twilight Moon Ranch, located 20 minutes outside of Park City in the High Uintah Mountains, is an 8,500-square-foot luxury ranch home with eight bedrooms in the main house, a bunk room, and a family suite that can accommodate up to 22 people. The recently built barn house offers additional sleeping space for 10 people. The ranch boasts a large in-ground jacuzzi, catch-and-release fishing lakes, pickleball courts, and 8 acres of horse and cattle pastures for guests to explore.
